Discovering America on 2 Wheels – 1/11/10 – at Sumner Lake State Park – Grilled Sausage, Green Chiles, Chili w/ Beans, Toasted Bread, Grilled Bologna and Eggs cooked in a Foil “oven” – Cut a piece of foil 20″ x 10″ Make a rim on it by crimping the edges. Put the foil over the open fire and use a piece of bologna to “oil” the foil. Break the eggs onto one end of the 20×10 foil. Fold the foil over and crimp the edges to form a sealed “oven”. Cook for 3 – 5 minutes (depending on how hot the fire is). Remove from fire. Open the foil and enjoy perfectly cooked eggs…. courtesy of an open fire and a foil oven.
